The Blessings of Family

Well the title I chose for this blog really describes the season of life I am in right now, raising two amazing boys that the Lord entrusted in our care. I cannot believe that Braiden will be three in three short months and Gavin is just a month away from being 1...where did the time go?! Then I think about the other three amazing children I have and I cannot believe that they are all grown women (Katelyn, Courtney, and Shelby). I am often amazed when I sit and think about how the Lord grew this family for me (three children by marriage and two through adoption). Oh and I do have a sixth child, my son-in-law Matt. Talk about a blended family! I am actually not sure if that is the right term but I love all of my kids just the same. It is wonderful this love I feel for my kids and I have comfort in the fact that I know that biology has nothing to do with the love and care you have for your children, at least it doesn't for me. Although these kids did not grow in my womb, they grew in my heart and fortunately they will never leave there. I thank the Lord daily for this heritage, this reward that he has granted me. I hope that I never lose sight of how blessed I am through this family He created.

Well here it is...

I have finally made the time to get with it and join the blogging world. This does come with a disclaimer that I do not promise daily or even weekly posts...really I do not need another thing to add to my to do list. So when I have the time or something interesting to share, I will. I will also warn you that I do not have anything profound to say and most of my blogs will probably consist of the silly things my kids do. They do really make me laugh and I hope you enjoy sharing in the laughter!
